Juvederm™

Perlane®

As we all know, aging is inevitable, and the toll aging takes on our skin is a fact of life. The intrinsic aging process, also known as the natural aging process, begins in our mid-20's typically but does not become apparent until years, or even decades, later. In addition to the natural aging process, our skin is also affected by extrinsic aging factors such as exposure to the sun, smoking, and how much water we take in.

There are thousands of anti-aging creams, gels, and masks out there on the market, and you may have even tried some of them. However, your cosmetic surgeon's office has some of the latest, most effective dermal fillers on the market today to help fight the inevitable signs of aging. We have all heard of Botox and collagen, but there is a fairly new dermal filler available at Pasadena Cosmetic Surgery, Perlane ®, that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.

What is it and what does it do?
Perlane® is an injectable cosmetic dermal filler that has been used to soften wrinkles and facial folds of patients all across the world, and it is also becoming popular for lip augmentation, facial depressions, and facial scarring. It is made from non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid gel and contains no animal products. Because hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the skin, there is no need for a skin test when using this filler.
