Pasadena Cosmetic Surgery is a specialty practice dedicated to delivering highly personalized care and exceptional results to patients in the Los Angeles, Arcadia, Covina, and Hollywood areas of California. Our practice is run by Dr. Martin O’Toole, a double board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 25 years of experience, and Dr. Adam O’Toole, also a double board-certified plastic surgeon with rigorous training and a leader in cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Martin O’Toole has strong roots in the Los Angeles community. He is a Southern California native, growing up in Orange County. Dr. O’Toole earned his undergraduate degree at UC Irvine and trained for six years in Pasadena at Huntington Memorial Hospital (a USC affiliate). During this time, he became board certified in general surgery. After spending two years at Texas A&M/Scott & White Medical Center undergoing extensive plastic surgery training, Dr. O’Toole returned to the Los Angeles area to start his own plastic surgery practice. He became board certified in plastic surgery shortly after returning to California, and has been practicing in Pasadena ever since. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons (CSPS), and he’s a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

Dr. Adam O’Toole grew up in La Cañada Flintridge, Pasadena’s sister city. He obtained his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed a five-year residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he earned his certification from the American Board of Surgery. Immediately following his general surgery residency, Dr. Adam O’Toole pursued a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky. He continues to further his skills by collaborating with other surgeons, engaging in modern research, and attending meetings with fellow professionals in the field of plastic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Adam O’Toole holds medical licenses in California and other states and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Giving Back to the Community

Dr. Martin O’Toole strongly believes in giving back to the Los Angeles community whenever possible, and he has done extensive volunteer work both locally and around the world throughout his career. He started a program with the Pasadena Police Department, working with former gang members to provide outreach. As part of this program, Dr. O’Toole volunteers his services for the tattoo removal of gang markings. To receive this service, individuals must be out of gangs, performing community service, and demonstrating a desire to become active participants in their communities.

Other communities around the world have benefited from Dr. O’Toole’s generosity as well. He has traveled to South America, including to El Salvador, with a group of medical missionaries to operate on less fortunate children with cleft lip and cleft palate deformities.

Dr. O’Toole is also committed to helping young surgeons develop their skills. He is on the teaching faculty at Huntington Memorial Hospital, where he teaches and mentors surgery residents.
