Man SleepingAccording to ABC 7 in a new government report, Americans say they’re sleeping less and feel drowsy when they’re driving.

In the preceding month, 35 percent of participants reported less than seven hours of sleep during a typical 24-hour period.

Nearly 40 percent reported unintentionally falling asleep during the day and one in 20 reported nodding off while driving.

Critics say people often report they sleep less than they actually do.

Another government survey found Americans get just as much sleep as they did 40 years ago.

In a sleep deprived environment it is not uncommon to hear complaints from people concerning their looks. Often times patients will say” I look tired and sleepy all of the time.” Dr. O’Toole recommends patients consider facial rejuvenation as a process with different steps. First, medical grade skincare  services will improve the surface texture of the skin dramatically. Secondly, injectables including Botox and fillers will help to smooth wrinkles in the forehead, nasolabial folds, and crows feet. Thirdly ,surgical options include blepharoplasty also known as an eyelid lift. This procedure also can treat the lower eyelid also known as” bags beneath the eyes.” A brow lift can be performed in conjunction with the blepharoplasty, which in many cases will give the patient a much more alert and awake look. While these procedures can make a marked difference in a patient’s appearance, the patient must also maintain good health, including proper rest in order to maintain the best long-term results.
