As new information becomes available one study reports that a brow lift may actually help prevent migraine headaches. Of note Botox has been reported as effective for this use for quite some time. In a recent local news story it was not clear as to whether the brow lift needed to be combined with Botox in order to be effective. With a brow lift the brow will be raised so it is not an appropriate recommendation for someone who does not have a low brow. According to ABC7 nearly 30 million Americans suffer from migraine headaches that can be extremely painful and debilitating. Now a common plastic surgery procedure, a “migraine makeover” of sorts, may help stop the pain. A study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons found the brow-lift procedure completely eliminated migraines in 57 percent of patients.
