caloriesPeople who are good about diet and exercise including counting their calories can become discouraged rather quickly when they are unable to lose weight. It is most discouraging for those who have only about 10 to 15 pounds to lose. Dr. O’Toole explains that when there are specific targeted areas that are problems it is difficult to improve those areas through diet and exercise. Traditional liposuction and Smart Lipo are very effective options for sculpting targeted areas like the outer thighs, upper and lower abdomen, and upper back. Both procedures can remove small amounts of fat and create a more toned appearance. Dr. O’Toole recommends which form of liposuction will work best once he has thoroughly examined the patient. Maintaining a stable weight is a substantial commitment. Even with guidelines for labeling food in the US it can be difficult. According to KTLA Forberg is a registered dietitian and trained chef who graduated from the California Culinary Academy. She’s also the author of “Flavor First: Cut Calories and Boost Flavor with 75 Delicious, All-Natural Recipes,” which shows how healthful, flavorful food can taste just as good as highly processed, fattier fare. We asked Forberg how people can become more informed about the food they eat. “There are a lot of credible sources out there,” she said, “but you have to be careful–there are also a lot of non-credible sources that give faddish information about weight loss plans that aren’t really sound and are way too low in calories. For example, if you ever encounter a weight-loss plan that tells you not to exercise, run–literally.”
