A spoon full of chocolateThe love of chocolate is a worldwide phenomenon that appears to entice most everyone. Many of us love when studies show that chocolate actually has health benefits. According to recent online article a new study proves once again that chocolate is beneficial to our health. According to the article growing research is linking cardiovascular health benefits to chocolate, because they’re abundant in flavonoids, chemical compounds found in plants that act as powerful antioxidants. One study of more than 44,000 participants, presented at a American Academy of Neurology meeting, found that those who ate a weekly serving of chocolate were 22% less likely to suffer a stroke than those who didn’t. This promising result requires follow-up studies to confirm the link, because not all such studies have found a connection between stroke risk and chocolate consumption. We can never hear enough good news about the attributes of chocolate. However, we do know that too much of a good thing is not good for you. Dr. O’Toole explains to patients that the best way to take care of stubborn fat pockets on the body that tend to appear when patients initially begin to gain weight is either traditional liposuction or Smartlipo. Dr. O’Toole offers both procedures and is careful to be sure that patients are good candidates prior to making the recommendation for them to have the procedure done. Neither procedure is a weight loss procedure but they are excellent options for obtaining better tone and contour.
